Big Dawg Movers

Terms and Conditions

These terms cover billing, preparation and moving-day service. Read them with your written estimate and moving agreement.

Your estimate and services

Your written estimate lists your agreed services, rates and minimum service requirement. Tell us before moving day if your moving details or service needs change so we can discuss any changes to the estimate.

Hourly billing and travel

For hourly work, billing begins when the crew arrives and ends when the job is complete. Drive time between moving locations is billable labor time. After the minimum in your written estimate is met, labor is billed in 15-minute increments.

Any service or travel charge is shown per moving day in your written estimate. The estimate identifies what is included and any separately priced truck, equipment or packing supplies. Any additional charges must be specifically agreed upon in writing.

Payment and deposits

Payment is due at the end of each move. We accept cash, certified checks or money orders, and Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Card payments processed through Kickserv include a 4% online payment fee.

Booking, deposit, cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms are explained in our Cancellation Rescheduling and Refund Policy.

Getting ready for moving day

• If you are packing your belongings, have boxes packed, sealed and ready when the crew arrives.

• Keep walkways, driveways and hallways clear. Arrange parking, elevator reservations, gate access and loading dock access.

• Have appliances disconnected from electricity, water and gas before moving day. Any disconnecting or reconnecting service must be specifically agreed upon in writing.

• Point out fragile, high-value and specialty items before work begins.

• Please keep firearms, jewelry, cash, financial instruments, hazardous materials and liquids out of the shipment.

Access and safety

We may pause, delay or adjust work when weather, slippery surfaces, poor access or other conditions make the work unsafe.

If an item cannot fit safely through a doorway, hallway, elevator or stairwell, we will stop and discuss the options. We will not force it through an unsafe space. A return or delivery to another location, including any additional charge, requires your written agreement before we proceed.

Final walkthrough and questions

Before the crew leaves, please check the loading and unloading areas with us to confirm that requested items have been moved and placed as needed.

Review the protection options and claims procedures in your moving agreement before approving your move. Contact us promptly with any concern.
